How did I forget about this? I let my three and a half year old drench my kitchen, it was kind of a big deal….and I forgot!

I remember it like it was two weeks ago…..because it was two weeks ago. I was feeling a lot of mixed emotions having finally finished our kitchen and looooving incorporating our big beautiful sink into some recent sessions (much to the delight of my clients, woohoo!!!) but also a bit sad, wishing my youngest was still small enough to warrant some sink time too.
Then one day it hit me….if she fits in the sink, that is all it takes. She has not grown to large for this….but ummm….perhaps an addition of her favourite bathing suit wouldn’t hurt.
So we did it. After a little coaxing I managed to tie her hair up and pop her into old Lefty. She was oddly nervous, this was weird….she hadn’t been in the sink since her early days and those I doubt she remembers.
After about 10 seconds though it was clear. This was going to be FUN. It was. it was all good times, big smiles, the biggest splashes and pleas at the end to stay in the sink
foooorrrr-eeeevvvv-errrrrr. Sorry kid, all good things must come to an end.
I have no regrets, even when I naively asked her to kick her feet in the second sink….and water flooded the counter and floor, I loved every moment.
I am soon going to announce all the details for my water baby sessions (coming up in January!!!) so if you are as in love with all the baby bath photo’s I have been sharing lately then get excited. It is happening ❤
