When my dear friends book me for their annual family pictures it explodes my heart. I know beyond any of my clients what these sessions mean to them and how much trust they have in me. Their confidence gives me confidence. Their excitement grows my excitement. Their easy going nature makes me feel more nervous and pressured than any other…..wait….yeah…okay that is true. I am never more nervous to shoot than when it is with my longtime friends and family members. Strange how people work (or is it just me??) either way it is ALWAYS for nothing, such a waste of worries….we had a lot of fun, laughing darn near the entire night and now FINALLY I am sharing (a whole LOT) of their session (Jaclyn you can breath now, the pictures do exist and you will have them tomorrow!)

This family has become very close friends with ours in the past 5 (more?) years, we get together as much as we can, living roughly 3 hours apart, and feel so comfortable and at home as a group in whichever house we land in. Our kids growing up together melts our hearts and leaves us in awe at every visit, these are our people.

Jaclyn and I first met in our very small elementary school (hers really, I joined in the last three years before highschool rolled in) and we were….NOT friends. I blame her, for being so nice. It was a turn off to my naturally darker nature. Luckily I grew out of that and am a fairly kind person now 🙂

Reuniting thanks to facebook back when our kids were much smaller (and in fewer numbers) we have become what I thiiiiink are lifelong friends. Only time will tell *snicker*

She has amazed me with her dedication to her family and her self built business, which stole her from our town and landed her so far from home. Ugh I sound secretly resentful but I promise I am not (what? i can’t want her to be successful back home??) she has worked harder than anyone I know and in a few short years has become a real name where she is, and for good reason. Jaclyn is a sweetheart, always authentic and doing everything she can to help out anyone who needs a hand.

I will end the blah blah blah with this, I love this family, all of them. I do not take it lightly when anyone invests in my photography and it is no different with loved ones. It means the world to me to be trusted and counted on to deliver the loving and real family images you have been hoping for. It means just as much that you put the styling into my hands and just TRUST me. YOU, Jaclyn, are a great friend, encouraging, caring, loving and confidence building. Thank you for being so enthusiastically in my life ❤

I hope you will be thrilled with this years session and beyond this….I (all of us in this house) are really looking forward to seeing you all again in a few short months!
